BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - We’re tracking potentially heavy snow that will likely cause hazardous travel Tuesday. Due to the potential for widespread travel impacts, Tuesday is a First Alert Weather Day.
Today is the calm before the snowstorm. Sunshine will be emerging this afternoon, but we do stay chilly with temperatures dropping into the 20s. Then clouds return this evening ahead of tomorrow’s snow.
Winter Storm Warnings (shaded in red below) have been issued ahead of the storm for central and southern Vermont. This is where the heaviest snow and most impacts are expected. But there will still be snow in the northern parts of our region as well which is why a Winter Weather Advisory (shaded in blue below) has also been issued.
Timing:
Snow will begin to move into southwestern Vermont
