1LAUREL, MD – A driver was pulled from his vehicle and carjacked early Friday morning after stopping to avoid hitting a man on crutches, police said.
The incident happened around 1:20 a.m. on Nov. 28 in the 500 block of Brock Bridge Road in Laurel.
According to Anne Arundel County Police, the victim stopped his vehicle when a man with crutches appeared to be crossing the road.
Moments later, two more suspects emerged from nearby woods—one possibly armed with a shotgun—forcing the victim from his car before driving off in it.
Police investigating late-night ambush
Detectives from the Western District are investigating the carjacking, which they say appeared to be a coordinated ambush. Authorities described the suspects as three males, including the individual using crutches.
