Product recall issued for ibuprofen sold at Costco in Canada

A voluntary drug product recall has been issued for certain Kirkland Signature Ibuprofen Extra Strength Liquid Gel Capsules sold at Costco in Canada.

The recalled ibuprofen was sold between October and November.

Apotex ibuprofen recall

Apotex, the manufacturer, has initiated a voluntary recall in alignment with Health Canada . Quality Home Products (QHP) is the distributor of this product.

This voluntary recall is being initiated due to the presence of cloudy capsules in the three lots.

“This issue will not affect the risk benefit profile of Extra Strength Ibuprofen Liquid Gel Capsules if used before the expiry date, however the product is being recalled out of an abundance of caution,” according to a letter addressed to Costco customers from QHP’s director of quality compliance a
