COLUMBIA, S.C. — Powerball players in South Carolina have two big reasons to double-check their Thanksgiving week tickets!
While the jackpot climbs to $740 million for Monday night's draw, two winning tickets worth $1 million and $50,000 were sold in the state for Wednesday’s drawing.
According to the South Carolina Education Lottery, the $1 million ticket was purchased at the Best Stop at 5318 Bush River Rd. in Columbia. The ticket matched the first five white ball numbers drawn.
A second winning ticket worth $50,000 was sold at Nouria (EnMarket) at 315 Yemassee Hwy. in Yemassee, matching four white ball numbers plus the red Powerball number.
Wednesday’s winning numbers were:
7 – 8 – 15 – 19 – 28 and Powerball: 3
Players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their priz
