LANE COUNTY, Ore. ( KPTV /Gray News) - A popular 1990s child star was arrested in Oregon over the Thanksgiving weekend.

Deputies arrested Zachery Ty Bryan, who played the oldest brother, Brad Taylor, in the hit TV show “Home Improvement.”

Deputies learned Bryan was in a pickup truck with 32-year-old Johnnie Faye Cartwright and their three children. At some point, Bryan allegedly got out of the truck and began walking.

The sheriff’s office said Cartwright then tried to run over Bryan but ended up crashing, with the children inside, into a ditch.

Bryan was able to get out of the way without being hurt, and no one in the truck was injured.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies saw signs that both Bryan and Cartwright were under the influence.
