A Staten Island woman has claimed a top prize in the New York Lottery’s $2,000,000 Cashword scratch-off game, lottery officials announced.
Xiao Lan Zhu opted to receive a one-time lump sum payment totaling $795,919 after required withholdings, according to officials.
The winning ticket was purchased at United Grocery Food Store, located at 7522 20th Ave. in Brooklyn.
As of this writing, there is still one $2 million top prize remaining on the $2,000,000 Cashword ticket. Players can check the status of any New York Lottery scratch-off by downloading the Game Report at nylottery.ny.gov.
New York’s scratch-off games generated $4,339,794,048 in total sales during fiscal year 2024-2025. School districts throughout the five boroughs received $1,427,185,199 in Lottery Aid to Education funds
