Florida football hired Tulane's Jon Sumrall as its 31st coach in history on Nov. 30.
The 43-year-old Sumrall will be tasked to revive a Florida Gators football program that has endured four losing seasons in its last five years and hasn't won an SEC or National Championship since 2008.
Sumrall brings a successful head coaching track record of 42-11 in two seasons at Tulane and two seasons at Troy. He's led both schools to four straight conference title games and will coach Tulane against North Texas in the American Conference championship game on Dec. 5.
