DUBUQUE, Iowa — The Dubuque City Council is evaluating the future of air travel from the city, including the possibility of ending its contract with the only commercial airline service, Denver Air Connection.
Denver Air Connection began offering flights from Dubuque to Chicago last year. The city has been providing funding to cover the costs of these flights until a sufficient number of passengers book tickets.
During the meeting on Monday evening, the city manager is expected to request that the council consider whether to continue funding the flights or terminate the contract.
