BATON ROUGE — LSU will officially welcome Lane Kiffin as the next LSU football head coach at an introductory press conference Monday afternoon inside the South Stadium Club inside Tiger Stadium.

New LSU Athletics Director Verge Ausberry closed the deal for Kiffin, who was being courted by Florida as well as his former school Ole Miss who wanted him to stay on as coach, as the official announcement that Kiffin was LSU's next coach came out Sunday afternoon.

In six seasons in Oxford, Mississippi, Kiffin led the Rebels to a 55-19 record. This season, Ole Miss achieved its best season in program history by going 11-1 in the regular season and is considering a lock to make the 12-team College Football Playoff for the first time in program history.
