EastEnders fans said ‘this is iconic’ after a beloved soap family reunited for a Christmas night out over the weekend.

The BBC soap has been putting an emphasis on the importance of family in recent months, with the families of Albert Square all going through major things in the run up to Christmas. At the centre of things is the Slaters, with Zoe Slater spending her first festive season in Walford in two decades.

Played by Mitchelle Ryan, Zoe’s return to her former home hasn’t gone to plan. On top of being accidentally shot just hours after reuniting with her mum Kat, she’s been stalked for the past few months by a mysterious culprit.
