TAVARES, Fla. – On Tuesday, Lake County commissioners are expected to discuss ways to get back over a million dollars in economic incentives paid to Kroger for the delivery fulfillment center the company is now closing.

The county gave Kroger and its partner Ocado, a delivery service company, a little more than $1.3 million in economic incentives as part of a 10-year agreement for opening its delivery service fulfillment center in Groveland.

But as we first told you last month , Kroger and Ocado are closing the facility before the 10-year agreement ends, laying off some 1,400 people.

The county is looking to recover more than $460,000 from Kroger and more than $870,000 from Ocado.
