SANDPOINT, Idaho — We officially know when Schweitzer will open skiing and riding operations for the winter season!

Schweitzer Opening Day had to be pushed back a couple of times due to weather and crews preparing the mountain, but they announced an opening day for skiing and riding operations on Monday.

Schweitzer announced that thanks to favorable cold temperatures, low relative humidity and snowmaking operations being fully underway, Schweitzer is kicking off this year's ski and ride season on Wednesday, December 3.

Ski season is so close you can almost feel it and shops like Solnix on Division have seen it first hand.

"I think a majority of customers are like, yeah, we're ready to get out there. Let's get some snow," said Solnix Assistant Manager Rome Deakins.
