TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) — A man and woman are dead after they were shot at an East Valley strip mall Monday morning.

Tempe Police confirmed the shooting happened in front of a Little Caesars pizzeria near Rural and Guadalupe roads just after 9 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found the man and the woman who were in critical condition. Police later confirmed that both of them died at the hospital.

Police said both victims worked at the Little Caesars.

The suspect was detained after remaining at the scene, according to police.

No identities have been released as police work to notify family members.
