Raptors head coach speaks highly of Jalen Brunson’s status around the league

Jalen Brunson has put himself squarely in the MVP conversation so far this season, and he’s earning high praise from some rival Eastern Conference teams.

Brunson is averaging 28.5 points, and 6.2 assists per game this season. After the Knicks 116-94 dismantling of the Toronto Raptors , in which Brunson scored 18 points and dished out seven assists, Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic shared some high praise for Brunson with SNY’s Ian Begley .

“He’s the type of player that I can put in the category of Luka Doncic, Nikola Jokic – different position, obviously,” Rajakovic said. “But guys who are just playing at their own pace. You can’t speed them up. Their awareness is amazing.”
