East Los Angeles -- One of the two people were killed in a rollover crash on the Pomona (60) Freeway in East Los Angeles was publicly identified Monday.
California Highway Patrol officers responded at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday to the westbound freeway and the Long Beach (710) freeway exchange where they found one person had been ejected from the vehicle after the single-car crash, a CHP spokesman told City News Service.
The victim who was ejected was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel.
Itziar Ramirez, 18, died from multiple blunt force traumatic injuries in the accident, according to the Medical Examiner's office. Ramirez's city of residence was not provided.
