There was a lively discussion on no parking and accessibility zones at last week’s city council meeting.
Director of public works and environmental services Ken Krcel brought forth a resolution for some local bylaw changes for three particular areas across the city.
The first section in question was Victoria Avenue, between College and Denise Street.
Currently the street has no parking on the north side.
“We had some people come forward to us, requesting no parking on the south side as well. So we sent out letters to the residents to get feedback,” said Krcel.
He said some feedback had residents not in favour of the change, and that a compromise of sorts was recommended, where the restriction would be focused on the winter months.
