A fundraiser has been launched for the family of a "lovely" Paisley schoolboy who died. Connor Gray passed away on Wednesday, November 26. The 14-year-old was a pupil at Paisley Grammar School and played football with ST Peters 2011.

Following the tragedy, his team have set up a fundraiser in his memory, reports the Record. A statement from the club reads online: "St Peters FC want to raise funds to give to Connor's family so they can put it towards a memorial, charity, or whatever they believe is appropriate, to honour Connor.

"A brave and wonderful young man who has sadly gone but will never be forgotten."

The local footballing world has rallied around Connor and his family following his sudden death last week. Several local clubs have held a minute of silence in his memory.
