ROCHESTER — When remarking on their 75 years together, Elaine Curry easily shares “every day is a gift.”

They now find themselves in an “elite club,” as Pat Curry described. While the U.S. Census Bureau notes no statistics for the rare anniversary, the Rochester couple's family, including daughter Liz, son Paul and daughter-in-law Nancy, decided the feat and their parents’ lives were due for a celebration. After a surprise party at Fairway Ridge Cooperative in Rochester on Nov. 22, “we’ll be reading cards for a week,” Elaine said.

For their 70th wedding anniversary, the two surmise they were together at home in Willmar. Their 60th was one of many travel adventures, this time in Italy. Their one-year anniversary was around when Pat completed his basic training for the Navy and they moved
