LEXINGTON, Ky. ( WKYT /Gray News) - One person is in custody and multiple people were injured after a shooting on Kentucky State University’s campus Tuesday.
The Frankfort Police Department said it responded to an “active aggressor” on KSU’s campus at about 3:35 p.m.
A university official confirmed to WKYT that a shooting happened in the area of south campus.
Frankfort police report that a suspect is in custody, but the school is on lock down until further notice.
A university official told WKYT that multiple people were injured. Their conditions have not been confirmed.
Kentucky Gov. Beshear said he was aware of the shooting and is working to learn more information.
