EAST LANSING, Mich — The Michigan State Athletics Department is hoping to upgrade facilities and enhance their student-athlete experience with the announcement of " FOR SPARTA: The Capital Initiative for MSU Athletics ."

The $1 billion initiative aims to improve Michigan State Athletics to compete at a higher level as the college athletics landscape continues to change.

“FOR SPARTA sets a bold course for the future of Michigan State Athletics,” said MSU President Kevin M. Guskiewicz, Ph.D. “By investing in world-class facilities and experiences for our student-athletes, we are positioning MSU to lead in an increasingly competitive landscape.
