The last supermoon of the year is coming, and Colorado happens to be a great place to view it from.
The December Cold Moon — the third and last in a series of consecutive end-of-year supermoons — is set to rise starting around 4 p.m. Dec. 4 in Fort Collins, according to the Old Farmer's Almanac. As the last supermoon of the year, it comes just before the peak of the Geminid meteor shower Dec. 13 and 14, meaning "exceptionally" dark skies fit for stargazing, per the Old Farmer's Almanac.
