The Braves took Mason Guerra in the 14th round of the 2024 MLB Draft out of Oregon State. He had previously been in the mix for a potential first round pick as a middle infielder in his high school days, but he came into the pros as a first baseman whose bat hadn’t developed as much as some had hoped initially. What Were Expectations?

Expectations were fairly low for Guerra based on his big strikeout numbers in college, and a 24 game sample size with Augusta after signing where he posted a .426 OPS. He was seen as a guy who was going to need a lot of work with his hit tool in order to make it out of the low minors. 2025 Results
