Samsung will officially release the Galaxy Z TriFold on December 12 in South Korea. This handset, with two hinges, is planned to launch in the first quarter of 2026 in the U.S. However, I wouldn’t get your hopes up if you live in Canada. Canadians didn’t officially get the first Galaxy Fold, and we unfortunately won’t get our hands on the Galaxy XR for now either.
However, if it does come out in Canada, it’ll be pricey — the device costs KRW ₩3,590,400 (about C$3,418) for the 512GB of storage in Korea.
This phablet sports a 10-inch inner screen with a 2160 x 1584-pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate that drops to 1Hz. The TriFold lets you use three apps vertically side by side and even use Samsung’s DeX mode. The outer screen sports a 6.5-inch 1080p display with a 21:9 aspect ratio
