WASHINGTON COUNTY, ARKANSAS, Ark. — The suspect in a fatal Fayetteville stabbing two years ago pleaded guilty and was sentenced to decades behind bars.

Shawnalyn Lang, 35, was arrested after reportedly stabbing and killing 74-year-old Richard Dill at a Fayetteville apartment in May 2023.

Police said the two were friends, and that Lang would often visit the victim's apartment.

Officials reported that Lang fled the area after the stabbing and was found weeks later in Houston, Texas.
