MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A North Myrtle Beach ice cream shop has won a national award for its signature flavor.

Melt Ice Cream Shop’s “Granddaddy Caddy” flavor won the best flavor award at this year’s Cone-A-Con, beating out hundreds of entries from across the country.

The flavor consists of salted butterscotch ice cream with roasted pecans and a rich, buttery butterscotch swirl.

“Granddaddy Caddy” was awarded Flavor of the Year for the Southern Region at the 2025 Cone-A-Con, a national ice cream convention hosted by the Ice Cream Association.

The Melt team says the flavor has been a customer favorite at the Main Street shop.
