WASHINGTON — U.S. Senators Shelley Moore Capito and Jim Justice, both R-W.Va., introduced a resolution Tuesday honoring two West Virginia National Guard members who were shot in the line of duty in Washington, D.C. last week.
U.S. Army Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, 20, of Webster Springs, died on Thanksgiving Day from injuries sustained in the Nov. 26 attack. U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant Andrew Wolfe, 24, of Berkeley County, remains in critical condition.
Capito and Justice said they worked with Representatives Carol Miller and Riley Moore, both R-W.Va., on companion legislation in the U.S. House.
