DANVILLE, Pa. — The first snow has moved out of Central Pennsylvania and left a couple of inches behind in many of the counties. In Danville borough, about two inches of snow stuck to the ground after the system moved out around noon on Tuesday. Many people in the neighborhoods were out and tackling the cleanup by shoveling.
"Well, I did the sidewalk probably 10 a.m., I thought maybe it would warm up enough it would melt, and I wouldn't have to shovel. I figured the good Lord put it there, the good Lord could take it away, but that didn't happen today," said Dick Umstead, Danville.
It was not just neighborhoods digging out; it was businesses, too. Derl Reichard Auto Sales in the borough was busy clearing inventory off their lot and also clearing the lot by plow.
