The large load that is making its way from Edmonton to the DOW site located near Fort Saskatchewan has been delayed due to current road conditions following some ice and snow.

The original timeline had the load, which is an 870,000-kilogram caustic wash tower, was set to be entering the site today, but thanks to some unfavourable weather conditions that have led to very poor road conditions, the load will remain parked at the Highway 14 and Highway 21 staging area.

The load is expected to continue along its planned route at first light on Wednesday, December 3, providing that road conditions develop into a more favourable situation overnight.
