Cleveland Browns linebacker Devin Bush’s non-jury trial related to an incident on May 4 has been continued, according to reports.

Bush was set to go on trial for simple assault and harassment charges in the Bell Acres Borough, a community about 20 miles northwest of Pittsburgh for a domestic incident with his girlfriend.

Bush, in his second season with the Browns, addressed the issue in a media availability Dec. 1.

“I mean when I'm here, I'm a football player,” he said. “When I leave this building, I am who I am. Yeah, I know all this is public news. So yeah, I got my stuff tomorrow and everything like that, so we'll see how that goes.”

He will go to trial on Dec. 16, two days after the Browns play the Chicago Bears.
