FREELAND, Pa. — As people in Freeland were digging out of a snowstorm, state police are digging for answers as to what led to a deadly shooting along Centre Street.

"It's probably making their job a lot more difficult because the evidence that they need is under the snow and slush," said Shane Swayz.

Police say two teens were shot outside of a business. An 18-year-old was killed, and a 15-year-old was shot in the leg; he's expected to be ok.

Frank Balon lives across the street from where those shots were fired. "Cause I think there's just easy access to guns and there's less regard for life. I think with less regard for life, everybody wants to be tough, and I think that might've been what happened here," said Balon.
