HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - An apartment complex in Henry County has gotten a complete facelift in efforts to provide affordable housing for the community.
Work to restore the Halifax Drive Apartments began in October of 2024.
It’s part of the county’s initiative to turn dilapidated properties into affordable housing.
Henry County and the Harvest Foundation gave $75,000 to local developer Michael Lindow to turn the 20 units into market-rate apartments.
The apartments now have a brand-new look along with a new name, Charlotte’s Crossing, after his daughter.
“I named it after her because it’s become like my second baby,” said Michael Lindow, Owner of Charlotte’s Crossing Apartments.
Lindow moved to Henry County from northern Virginia for a slower-paced lifestyle.
