FARGO — The Fargo Theatre has been awarded a $500,000 grant from the North Dakota Department of Commerce.
Executive Director Emily Beck says the money will be used for renovations and maintenance, including electrical work, plumbing and upgrades to the HVAC system.
The theatre will turn 100 on March 15, 2026, a feat Beck says is only possible because of community support.
“This grant is a huge win for us, but day in and day out, it’s the people that come here that buy a movie ticket or buy a box of popcorn or a membership or make a donation that those people are the reason the Fargo Theatre is still around today,” Beck said.
Beck says the Fargo Theatre will share another big announcement this Friday, Dec. 5.
