KILLEEN, Texas — Students and staff at Central Texas College (CTC) in Killeen did their part to help a dog reach his new home recently.
CTC said the college opened its facilities to Pilots N Paws, a nonprofit organization that works to rescue and shelter animals, as well as fly them to new adoptive homes.
Students in the aviation program at CTC were able to spend time with the newest dog to be helped by the program, Buddy, before he boarded a Pilots N Paws Freedom Flight to Dallas to meet his new forever family, the college said.
"We are grateful to support Pilots N Paws and their incredible mission," CTC said in a post on social media. "Our hangar and runway will always be open to organizations making a difference, one rescued animal at a time."
