ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (WPVI) -- Jury selection got underway on Tuesday in the child abuse trial of Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small.
He is facing multiple charges, including child endangerment, third-degree aggravated assault and witness tampering.
Small is accused of beating his teenage daughter with a broom, knocking her unconscious.
Mayor Small's wife, La'Quetta, is also facing charges.
Her trial is scheduled to begin next month.
