MARSHFIELD − The City of Marshfield will prune terrace trees this winter, according to a community announcement.

The work will take place from South Central Avenue to South Peach Avenue and from East Veterans Parkway to East 14th Street.

The city is responsible for trees in the public right-of-way. Branches that interfere with the safe use of streets and sidewalks must be removed. Dead and dying branches must also be removed to prevent hazards and improve overall tree health.

Pruning trees on a cyclic basis promotes long-term survival, vigor and aesthetics.
