YAKIMA, Wash. – The Valley Museum in Yakima kicked off its annual Holiday Lights program today, an event that has been a tradition since 2019.
The festive program invites nonprofits from across the valley to decorate a tree that represents their work and mission.
This year, more than 20 trees are on display, providing a colorful and meaningful experience for visitors.
Liz Hobson, executive director of the museum, shared her enthusiasm for the tradition.
"It's just a really great opportunity to get visitors out to come see the museum in a different way, to see some more stories, which are the stories of the Yakima Valley, which is what we do here. And so these nonprofits do make up the story of our area, too," said Hobson.
