U.S. Rep. Veronica Escobar issued a letter to Cardinal Health CEO Jason Hollar expressing her concern over toxic air emissions from two of the company's warehouses in El Paso.

Escobar, D-El Paso, issued the letter following an investigation by Grist and El Paso Matters , which found that about 603,000 El Paso residents are at increased risk of cancer because of toxic emissions from the company's warehouses. This risk is greatly increased for those living close to the facilities.

Grist and El Paso Matters identified two warehouses, located at 1 Butterfield Trail and 1320 Don Haskins Drive, where the company holds sterilized medical equipment that emits a high level of ethylene oxide (EtO).
