Deus Ex fans have been begging for a new game for some time now, and while they finally received a Deus Ex Remastered announcement scheduled for 2026, rumors hinted that a new mainline game in the immersive cyberpunk RPG franchise was possibly in the works.

However, according to a leak (via Reddit ) of newly discovered documents from former developers for Deus Ex studio Eidos-Montreal, a new Deus Ex game was reportedly in development at some point but was quietly canceled. The information comes from CV details posted online by a former Lead Game Designer for Eidos-Montreal, as well as the Design Director.
