The Toronto Argonauts have settled on a new head coach.

Quarterbacks coach Mike Miller will make the jump from that position to head coach, replacing Ryan Dinwiddie, who jumped ship and landed with both the head coaching and GM role in Ottawa with the Redblacks.

Miller has been on staff in Toronto for four years, all of it as a part of Dinwiddie’s staff and has experienced plenty of success in his particular area of expertise. He becomes the 45th Argos head coach in team history.

The quarterbacks from McLeod Bethel-Thompson in his first year to Chad Kelly and Nick Arbuckle in subsequent seasons all prospered under Miller’s guidance.

Granted, Dinwiddie had a hand in this as well, but it was Miller in that quarterbacks’ room and in his quarterbacks’ ears on a daily basis.
