SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KTIV) - South Sioux City, Nebraska, is receiving $610,592 to replace an aging water line in that community.
The funding is provided through the Community Development Block Grant program of the Nebraska Department of Economic Development, specifically for water and sewer infrastructure upgrades.
The money will fund a project to replace a water line on West 13th Street in South Sioux City, between 3rd and 5th Avenue.
The city shared that these improvements will bring the system up to current standards, increase reliability, and enhance service for residents in the surrounding neighborhoods.
Construction on the project is expected to move forward after the required environmental and administrative steps.
