Donations are coming into the Salvation Army’s kettle campaign, however, at this point organizers say the need for volunteers to collect those donations is even stronger. Christmas campaign coordinator Richard Smith says they simply don’t have enough volunteers to man the 10 kettles located across the city of Belleville. This year‘s campaign goal is $365,000 after $357,000 was raised last year. Kettle Campaign donations fund multiple local Salvation Army programs including their dinner programs.
