A man who spent years in prison for the abduction and rape of a Pittsburgh teen in 2002 was sentenced on a new set of charges in Cumberland County on Tuesday.
Scott William Tyree, 62, with a last known address in Harrisburg, was arrested earlier this year after the victim in the 2002 case alerted a Hampden Township woman that Tyree was stalking her.
Tyree was sentenced to 6 to 23 months in the county prison on the new charges.
He’s already served the minimum on the misdemeanor stalking count, but continues to be held in prison in lieu of $500,000 bail on an additional child pornography count that Tyree chose to take to trial.
That latter count — which could go to trial in January — carries the greatest legal jeopardy for Tyree.
