On Tuesday at 8:28 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a special weather statement until Wednesday at 8 a.m. for Mercer, Venango, Forest, Lawrence, Butler, Clarion, Jefferson, Beaver, Allegheny, Armstrong, Washington, Greene, Westmoreland, Fayette and Indiana counties.

"Area roads remain wet in spots from snowmelt after Tuesday's widespread snow accumulation.
