The Philadelphia Eagles were must-see TV throughout their 2024 season. But in 2025, Jalen Hurts and the reigning Super Bowl champions are so far failing to deliver an exciting product.

The NFL seemed to take that fact into account with its latest schedule change.

The Eagles were scheduled to face off against the division-rival Washington Commanders in a primetime Saturday night matchup on Dec. 20. But on Tuesday, the NFL announced its decision to move this contest to 5 p.m. ET on the same day.

In a corresponding move, the NFL flexed the Dec. 20 matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears into the primetime Week 16 slot.

"Flex: the Dec. 20 Week 16 Packers-Bears game has been moved into 8:20 pm ET slot. Eagles-Commanders now will be played that day at 5pm ET," ESPN
