FARGO – Mandan’s Brody Skalsky scored two third-period goals, including an empty-netter, as the Braves beat Shanley 4-2 on Tuesday in North Dakota boys hockey at Farmers Union Insurance Center.
Thomas Froslie scored twice for the Deacons, both unassisted goals in the first and third period. Braeden Krous tallied twice for Mandan with his second goal putting the Braves ahead 2-1 in the second period.
The Deacons outshot the Braves 30-19. Jack Furstenau had 15 saves for Shanley while Cooper Anderson had 28 saves for Mandan.
WEST FARGO – Griffen Haagenson’s hat trick and Cade Ulmer’s four assists led Grand Forks Red River’s offensive outburst in a 7-0 win over West Fargo in East Region boys hockey Tuesday night.
