PINEVILLE, La. (KALB) - For the second time in three seasons, Jena welcomes Union Parish in the Division III Non-Select Semifinals.

“Well, it’s Union, they’re going to be big and physical,” Jena Football head coach Jay Roark said. “Coach Spatafora does a great job with those guys. They’re in the hunt every single year, so they have that experience on their side.”

In their 2023 meeting, the Farmers came away victorious 24-16, a game that the Giant players still remember.

“I remember seeing the senior faces after coming up short like that, and I just don’t want that for this team,” Jena senior quarterback Deuce McPherson said. “I think we want to make that hump and get over that.”

Jena is coming off a 44-20 win in the State Quarterfinals against Mansfield, outscoring the Wolverines 30-6
