NEW GLARUS, Wis. --- In a spirited high school basketball matchup, the New Glarus Glarner Knights started strong against the Columbus Cardinals, quickly turning defense into offense. Grady Johnson energized the Knights early by stealing the ball right out of the Cardinals' nest and feeding Nolan Julseth for a quick two points.
However, the momentum soon shifted as Columbus put their wheels on the ground. In an interesting role reversal, Jordan Mobry—better known for his exploits as a star football receiver for Columbus—connected with his quarterback on the court, who nailed the bucket, sparking a surge for the Cardinals.
