Preparations are progressing on trains, at stations and behind the scenes along the East Coast Main Line, as LNER gears up for a significant increase in its services.
The December 2025 timetable will bring the most substantial change to train services on the East Coast route in more than ten years.
LNER has been working with Network Rail and industry partners to prepare for the introduction of nearly 10,000 additional services each year.

The changes will bring more than 60,000 extra seats every week, affecting journey times for passengers across the route.
