TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) — Police have identified the victim who was shot and killed during an online transaction at Tempe Marketplace on Monday morning.
On Tuesday, Tempe police said 19-year-old Dominic Baysinger was meeting with a suspect for an online sale when he was shot in the shopping center’s parking lot. His girlfriend, who was nearby during the transaction, was not injured.
The shooter fled the scene after the shooting, Jessica Ells with Tempe PD said.
Detectives collected a gun at the scene, but police could not confirm whether it was the murder weapon.
“There’s no way to determine, that I can determine, if that’s the gun,” Ells said. “Ballistics are gonna have to be done to solidify that that was the gun used, or if it was a different gun on scene.”
Police would not disclose
