WATERLOO, Iowa — In a closely watched mayoral race, Quentin Hart, the current mayor of Waterloo, expressed gratitude and emotions as he addressed supporters at a watch party in downtown Waterloo.
The city's residents went to the polls to decide their next leader, resulting in a victory for Hart's opponent, Boesen, who secured approximately 54% of the vote compared to Hart’s 45%.
As the official results were announced, Hart shared heartfelt thanks with his family and the people of Waterloo for their support over the past decade.
"I want to give a shoutout to my opponent," Hart said. "This is all about Waterloo. I'll be there to help with transitional things. I don't have anything to hang my head down."
